ABOUT US

Founded in Summer 2009, by Central Valley Farmers and Ag Business men and women, we are a non-profit, non-partisan organization registered as a 501c4, which allows us to lobby at the state and federal level.  We have expanded our board, membership and strategic alliances, within and outside the agriculture industry, to diversify and better serve our members.  The California Water Alliance  has grown to over 4,000 members — state and nationwide.

The California Water Alliance is dedicated to achieving both short term relief and a long term solution to the water emergency afflicting California. To this end, California Water Alliance supports the development of a water infrastructure bond that is comprehensive, and takes into account the needs of all Californians.

We believe an effective investment in California’s water infrastructure will include:

  • Water Conservation and Recycling Facilities;
  • Above and Below Ground Storage;
  • Sacramento Delta Restoration;
  • Desalinization Plants;
  • Conveyance;
  • Water Banks; and
  • Regional Water Projects.

By investing in all of the above, California will have a long-term strategic focus for providing water to individuals, families, businesses, farmers, and the environment for years to come. It is our position that the state’s water crisis can be resolved if we implement a comprehensive plan that provides for maximum flexibility in drought years.

The California Water Alliance directly and indirectly supports other like-minded organizations that are focused on a comprehensive water solution to improve California’s overburdened and outdated water infrastructure. We will utilize the many tools available to market and educate the public and politicians on the importance of a comprehensive water package.

We need your support in achieving broad water reform and solving California’s water emergency. Please join us in our efforts to secure a sufficient and reliable water source for California.
